This year, Velindre Cancer Charity and Ambassador Katie Brickle are delighted to announce a brand new programme named ‘Velindre All Stars’ which will follow the same programme as the 2020/21 group, Derek's Dazzlers.

We are now looking for 40 keen individuals who want to be part of this special team who will embark on a *12 week training programme to be ready for the 2022 Bay10k on Sunday 22^nd May, and to raise **vital funds for Velindre.  All team members will receive a Velindre running vest or t-shirt.

Training sessions will take place twice a week in Cardiff. Exact dates, times and locations are yet to be confirmed. Previously the team met on Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Velindre and on Saturday or Sunday at 9.30am in Pontcanna fields.

Applicants must be committed to:

• Participating in the Bay10k on 22^nd May 2022
• Following the set 12 week training plan – the plan is designed to equip you with the best training and fitness in order to finish the race successfully as a team  
• Attending group training sessions at least once a week
• Investing time into training outside of the group, especially if scheduled training sessions are missed. Advice, guidance and support will be provided to help build your confidence for personal training
• Invest in suitable running trainers, and other suitable running wear, to ensure health and safety
• Raising a minimum of **£150 for Velindre
• Must attend official launch event on Tuesday 25^th January at 6.30pm at the Angel Hotel, Castle Street, Cardiff unless prior agreemen with Charity is confirmed.
• Most importantly... HAVING FUN!
