Kick Start to Staff Health: Health and Wellbeing Taster Sessions

 

Welcome! We are delighted you have made the positive move to register for our Online Kick Start Taster Sessions designed for HSE staff.  

This is a virtual programme and each week we will send you an email containing WebEx links to the sessions (no more than 2 per week for 4 weeks). They can be accessed from any device and you can watch it in your own time when it suits you. You do not need to download/install Webex on your devise unless your using a tablet or mobile phone. 

 

Each session will focus on improving your overall health & wellbeing and give you the confidence to make informed decisions on your health and wellbeing.

 

The programme consists of virtual sessions: 

  • Introduction to Self-care & Stress Management explores what is self-care and why it is important to our mental health and wellbeing? You get the opportunity to look at your self-care tool kit and managing stress. 

  • Get Active your Way looks at practical ways of becoming active and explores the importance of physical acitivity not only for your physical health but also your mental, social and emotional wellbeing. 

  • Exploring Healthy Food Choices focuses on Healthy Food Choices with some fun facts on portion control and label reading.  We hope you get some good tips on how to make healthier food choices and develop healthy lifestyle habits. 

  • How to Quit Smoking (or help someone you care about quit)  focuses on the HSE National Standard Treatment Programme for quitting and you will gain further information on stopping smoking or helping someone stop smoking. 

  • Whistle stop tour of Men's Health aims to develop awareness among particpants of relevant Men's Health issues. 

  • Women's Health Matters aims to raise awareness of health issues relevant to women of all ages such as female cancers, furthermore highlighting the range of screening services available to detect illnesses earlier in order to reduce risk of developing serious illness.  There is also reference to sources of information on the topic of Menopause. 

 

Each Pre-recorded Session can be accessed at any time within the calendar month of commencement and all are approximately 30 mins duration.
