Minimum fundraising

I understand that by taking part in this event, my team must pledge to fundraise exclusively for Muscular Dystrophy UK and raise a minimum fundraising target of �900 for a team of two and �1,800 for a team of four. We also acknowledge that at least 50% of our teams minimum fundraising target must be submitted at least two weeks before the event along with all of our fundraising no later than 8 weeks post-event. Terms and Conditions - Pedal Paddle Peak 2025 - The Lake District

The following terms and conditions have been written to ensure that Muscular Dystrophy UK can support its fundraisers, whilst raising as much as possible to fund its work. If you have any questions about them, please do contact us on 0300 012 0172 or via email at events@musculardystrophyuk.org.

- The event organisers are The Adventure Element, who will be responsible of the delivery of the logistical element of the whole event.

- Muscular Dystrophy UK are the beneficiary Charity and all proceeds will go towards finding treatments and ultimately cures for muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions.

- I agree to pay a registration fee outlined for my teams entry (team of two �97.50 or team of four �195) as outlined upon registration to Muscular Dystrophy UK to secure my team place and that this will be in addition to the minimum fundraising target (not including gift aid) of: �900 for a registered team of two and �1,800 for a registered team of four.

- I agree to submit at least 50% of the team fundraising target 2 weeks before the event date to confirm the team place on the challenge and understand that the remaining amount of the minimum fundraising total is to be submitted to Muscular Dystrophy UK within 8 weeks of the event taking place. 

- I understand that by signing up to this event, I agree to fundraise exclusively for Muscular Dystrophy UK. If it's found that you're fundraising for another charity, your put your teams place on the event at risk.

- I understand that the registration fee is non-refundable as this helps cover the cost faced by Muscular Dystrophy UK. (I understand that this applies even if the event is cancelled due to severe weather making the event unsafe or any other unforeseen reason outside the control of the event organisers).

- I understand that I must be at least 17 years old on the date of the Pedal Paddle Peak event.

- Pedal, Paddle, Peak is a team event, and I understand that all team members should complete each challenge together otherwise face disqualification for team related time awards.

- I agree to inform Muscular Dystrophy UK if a team member is unable to take part and to get all registration and medical forms completed for any replacement team member ahead of the event day. 

- I understand that if all members of the team aren't present on event day, the team can still take part but will not qualify for team related time awards.

- I understand that if I have entered a team of two that I will need to team up with another team of two to use two connected canoes to create a stable shaft should the weather conditions on the day deem it unsafe to use a two person canoe or sit on top kayak.

- I understand that I must bring my own bike onto this event and ensure it is in good working condition

- I'm aware that if I opt to use bike hire, any costs involved are in addition to my registration fee. I also understand that the bike hire is on a first come, first serve basis for all participants 

- I am medically fit to participate and will make any pre-existing medical conditions known to the organisers and Muscular Dystrophy UK and see a Doctors approval to take part in the event if requested.

- I understand that I enter at my own risk and that the organisers shall not be held responsible for any injury or illness that may be caused to myself as a result of the event or for any property lost during the event.

- I understand that if I am entering this event on behalf of another person, I am authorised by them to accept these Terms and Conditions on their behalf.

- I agree that any images and video taken of me and my team on the day of the event may be used by Muscular Dystrophy UK in future promotional material including our websites and charity magazines and reports, unless stated otherwise.

- Muscular Dystrophy UK and the organisers may, at their sole discretion, withdraw places on the event if they believe it is in the best interest of the Charity to do so.

- I can confirm that the information I have provided on this application form is correct to the best of my knowledge.
