Zippy's Friends is a 24 session programme for teaching social and emotional skills. It is designed for 5-7year old children. The Zippy's Friends resource pack contains session plans and activities, covering topics such as; feelings, communication, relationships, conflict resolution and more. It teaches the children how to cope with everyday difficulties, to identify and talk about their feelings and explore ways of dealing with them.
The programme has been evaluated in Ireland and Internationally and is ideal for your SPHE class.
This 2 hour online training will support you in delivering Zippy's Friends in your school.
Please make sure you fully complete the registration process.
If you do not receive a confirmation email you are not registered for the course.
This training takes place outside of school hours and so substitution cover is not provided.
All participants will recieve the Zippy's Friends Teacher Manual.
This 2 hour online training is recommended for teachers experienced in teaching SPHE to this age group.
If you are new to teaching SPHE to this age group, please consider our 1 day in person training.
