The ZSA Step Challenge
1 May 2025 - 31 May 2025
Step into Summer with our ZSA Step Challenge 2025
As the days get longer and the weather warms up, why not get ready for summer by taking part in The ZSA Step Challenge 2025? Coinciding with National Walking Month, and Mental Health Awareness Week, it’s an opportunity to improve your fitness as well as boost overall wellbeing. Take part as an individual, group, business or organisation or go solo… every step counts towards helping raise awareness and funds to support suicide awareness and prevention.
How long is the challenge?
The ZSA Step Challenge 2025 runs for the whole of May. It starts on the first day and ends on the last – that’s 31 whole days to make a difference!
The ZSA Step Challenge has something for everyone, accessible to all fitness levels and abilities. You can choose your own distance or step count and set your own targets! No distance is too short or too long when it comes to supporting a cause.
How do I calculate my steps?
To record your steps, it may be helpful to use pedometer or suitable app/function on asmartphone or watch eligible to track steps.
Strava is a popular app you can use to chart your progress. It also can be connected to the profile you set up on our fundraising platform, Enthuse which allows you to keep sponsors updated on your progress!

Raising funds for ZSA
We want to empower, equip, and educate individuals and organisations to support suicide awareness and prevention through our free online training and resources.
We want to raise awareness of suicide, challenge stigma and make suicide prevention something everyone feels they can get involved in.
Funding in 2024 has already allowed us to launch the redevelopment of ZSA's Online Suicide Awareness Training - a short, free, online course that can be taken by anyone who wants to learn basic suicide awareness and prevention skills. Within the first month of launching, 20,000 people had already completed this training.
With your donations we can continue to deliver free, accessible training opportunities so more people can learn vital skills and confidence to talk to someone struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Ready to step up? Whether you’re seasoned steppers, are looking to move more independently, or love any excuse to have fun with your friends and/or colleagues and wish to make this a team effort, The ZSA Step Challenge is a great way to connect with others and make a meaningful impact.
