About the event:

We are delighted to be hosting this one-off Carol Service in aid of Macmillan’s vital work in Yorkshire.

The service will feature moving congregational carols, prayers and readings, as well as a testimony from a Macmillan beneficiary.

We are deeply honoured to welcome The Most Reverend and Right Honourable Stephen Cottrell, Lord Archbishop of York, who will deliver a special Christmas address. His presence promises to be a highlight of the evening, offering wisdom, warmth, and hope in this season of togetherness.

Tickets to this one-off event are free, but all donations are welcome and will go towards the York Cancer Centre Fundraising Appeal. You can donate here.

About Macmillan Cancer Support:

At Macmillan, we know that people living with cancer need personalised care and support to help them through their cancer experience.

Together, Macmillan and York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals are working on a detailed design to upgrade the Cancer Care Centre. The centre is based at York Hospital, and the significant improvements will enhance and increase the support available at the centre.

In the unlikely event that the centre does not go ahead or if there is a surplus of funds, we will use the donations, not used or needed for the build, to provide much needed help and support to people living with cancer.
