A WELLNESS WORKSHOP IS A DAY FOR YOU TO TAKE TIME OUT AND LEARN A WIDE RANGE OF PRACTICAL TOOLS AND TIPS THAT YOU CAN USE IN YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE TO IMPROVE YOUR OWN WELLNESS. TOPICS COVERED IN THE WORKSHOP INCLUDE:

• RELAXATION AND STRESS MANAGEMENT
• HOW TO BRING CALM TO YOUR LIFE
• THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THOUGHTS AND EMOTIONS
• HOW TO DEVELOP A WELLNESS TOOLKIT AND DAILY WELLNESS PLAN
• AN INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION

WORKSHOPS ARE INFORMAL AND RELAXED. THEY ARE FACILITATED BY PEOPLE WITH BOTH LIVED LIFE EXPERIENCE OF MENTAL HEALTH DIFFICULTIES, AND PEOPLE WITH EXPERIENCE OF WORKING IN VARIOUS MENTAL HEALTH ARENAS.
THE DAY RUNS FROM 9.30AM TO 3.00PM AND INCLUDES REGULAR REFRESHMENTS AND A LIGHT LUNCH. A COMPREHENSIVE WELLNESS WORKBOOK TO SUPPORT YOU IN MAINTAINING YOUR DAILY WELLNESS IS ALSO INCLUDED.


THERE IS NO CHARGE TO ATTEND A WELLNESS WORKSHOP. CURRENTLY PLACES ARE FULLY FUNDED BY THE NATIONAL OFFICE OF SUICIDE PREVENTION, THE IRIS O’BRIEN FOUNDATION, OUR WONDERFUL DONORS AND OUR INCREDIBLE FUNDRAISERS, MAKING OUR WELLNESS WORKSHOPS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE. WE DO SUGGEST A VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTION FROM PARTICIPANTS ON THE DAY, BUT THIS IS BY NO MEANS OBLIGATORY.
