Unfortunately due to the current Government Covid 19 Level 3 restrictions the County Board is disappointed to announce that Day 2 of the County Cross Country Championships due to take place this Saturday Oct 10th is cancelled. We will process refunds over the coming week and will review the situation if things change.

Due to covid restrictions all athletes, parents, guardians, coaches and officals must be registered to attend.

Parents and guardians can add their details while registering a juvenile. Coaches and officials can register their attendance at the bottom.

Event Rules:

  • Athletes may move up ONE age group except for the U9 age group. To compete U9, the minimum age is EIGHT years (ie all athletes must turn 8years old in year of competition)
  • All Athletes MUST be registered
  • U19, Novice, and Masters is one race
  • All Juvenile teams four to score EXCEPT Girls U19 where there is three to score
  • Novice & Masters all four to score on a team
  • Official club singlet should be worn
  • Pacing of athletes will mean disqualification
  • Points for the best over all Juvenile club – teams only
    • 1st 3points
    • 2nd 2points
    • 3rd 1point
  • Novice athletes must be 19 years of age or over on the 31st December in the year of competition
  • The first three in the senior race are not eligible to run Novice. Re grading will be done at the September County Board meeting where necessary.
  • At all times, we ask that you
    • Wear your bib number unobstructed on your chest
    • Observe social distancing unless in an intermittent manner like passing during the event.
    • Observe correct etiquette re coughing
    • Wash/sanitize your hands regularly
    • Observe correct competitor etiquette (no spitting, hand shaking etc)
    • Wait at least 3 minutes after the event before interacting with the public, officials, or other athletes.
    • Contact your GP and read the HSE guidelines and then inform the Competition Organisers if you become ill after the event.
