Volunteers are an important and valued part of our network. We couldn’t do what we do without the amazing people who give up their time to support deaf people and their families.

When you volunteer with DSN your skills, time, and enthusiasm will help us to provide vital quality support services which make a positive difference to the lives of local Deaf and hard of hearing people, improving their equality of access, life experiences, and opportunities.

Once you have completed the Volunteer Regitration a member of the team will be in touch.

What does volunteering with DSN involve?

Volunteers get involved with DSN for a variety of reasons. Many want to make a difference to the lives of Deaf people, others want to develop new skills or practice their BSL, and some people simply want to meet new people and have fun.

We don’t have a ‘typical’ volunteer but every person who volunteers for DSN does have one thing in common: they are absolutely vital to our work!

We can offer a range of different volunteering opportunities to suit your individual needs and interests. Above all we support our volunteers to ensure you get the most out of your experience with us.
