MK Community Foundation is delighted to be hosting a dedicated conference for the Voluntary, Cultural, and Community Sector. 

The conference will be jam-packed full of CPD workshops to help groups and those who volunteer for groups.

Topped off with a celebration for the sector.

10am - Welcome

Open networking

10:30am - 11.15am - workshops

  • Marketing  - Hints and tips for using Linkedin for your community group. Hosted by Digital Marketing Strategist Ronnie Findlay
  • Creating partnerships - A workshop that explores how to create effective  and longstanding co-productive partnerships. Hosted by Stephanie Laing - Citizen's MK
  • Governance - Effective inclusive operations of a committee. Hosted by  Gamiel Yafai, Founder & CEO - Diversity Marketplace
  • Diversity - disability awareness training. Hosted by the Centre for Integrated Living

10:45am - 11:45am - masterclass workshops

  • Volunteering - question and answer panel on all things related to hiring and engaging volunteers. Hosted by panel members from local MK community groups.
  • Fundraising - How to make the ask confidently. Hosted by Sofeena Lalani, previous experience at Scope and British Red Cross.

12:30pm - Light lunch provided from a local caterer

1.30pm - 2.15pm workshops

  • Meet the funders - a chance to put your questions to the funders. Hosted by panel members from local funders
  • Staff and volunteer wellbeing -  'Taking care of your emotional wellbeing’ is a workshop providing practical guidance on how to support your staff and volunteers wellbeing. Hosted by MIND BLMK

2:30pm - 3pm  - Keynote speech: Recognising the importance of the voluntary sector. Hosted by Dr Fidele Mutwarasibo, Director of Centre for Voluntary Sector Leadership (CVSL) and a Lecturer in Work-Based Learning at The Open University.

Networking opportunities are available throughout the day, along with the option to visit the number of information stalls that will be there on the day.
