Join us on 22nd October for the VM10K, a non-competitive foot race on the last 10 kms of the Venice Marathon racecourse. It is the race that gives everyone the chance to experience the beauty of the Venice Marathon. You can choose to run, hop, or stroll the 10km as you take in some of Venice’s most beautiful sites. Anyone over the age of 10 is welcome to participate.

Most importantly, your participation in the VM10K will all be in aid of the Veerni Project, a registered charity that empowers girls living in rural Rajasthan, to live healthy and fulfilling lives, free from social and economic discrimination.

The Veerni Project was established in 1993 in Western Rajasthan, working in remote villages of the Thar Desert to deliver basic health care to village women and their children.Veerni is launching its third decade with a new, and permanent home.

Veerni has secured land on the outskirts of Jodhpur, with a water supply and access to schools. The plan is to build a Centre of Excellence that will accommodate up to 150 girls, and provide a myriad of offerings, including a sports academy, language facilities, a career centre, health outreach, life skills and a kitchen garden.

That’s why this October, we will be running in the 10k of the Venice Marathon, to raise money to make the dream for a new building a reality. Step by step. Brick by brick.
