If you’re looking for a way to mark a special occasion or a memory of someone special to you, then you might like to consider sponsoring one of ten new parkland trees to be planted in Simonsbath in Exmoor National Park.

For many people who have enjoyed visiting Exmoor, or perhaps had the joy of living in these much-loved landscapes, this could be the ideal solution.

For a limited period only, we are offering the opportunity to dedicate a parkland tree in Simonsbath where we are planting 10 parkland tree saplings in late 2024. You will recieve a map showing the location of the tree and a certificate of dedication. You can also chose the wording for a plaque which will be fitted to the specially made tree guards produced on Exmoor by our own field services team. Each tree guard is made of untreated cleft chestnut from our own Exmoor woodlands. The guards will remain in situ for a minimum of 15 years and will protect the young tree from cattle and deer as it grows.

The 10 parkland tree saplings will be planted in the area shown in red on this map. We will be planting two tree varieties which can live well in excess of 500 years:

  • 5 Sessile Oak  - a deciduous broadleaf tree which typically grow 20–40m tall.
  • 5 Scots Pine  - an evergreen conifer native to northern Europe. Mature trees grow to 35m.

Each tree can be sponsored for a £750 donation to CareMoor for Exmoor in the knowledge that your contribution to CareMoor for Exmoor has supported the work of the National Park in our ambitious tree planting project.

Please chose your preferred option below to continue to place an order. You can add the wording for your plaque on the form. The plaques measure 65x100mm and are made of antique bronze. Each has the Exmoor National Park logo, CareMoor for Exmoor and 4 lines of text chosen by you.

Please read/download the full Ts&Cs here .

*** We suggest that you read the T&Cs and prepare the wording for your plaque before registeringYou can have blank lines.  Each of the four available lines of engraving can have up to 26 characters/spaces. ***
