Saturday 27th June - First Wave 9.30am - Last Wave 3.20pm
Sunday 28th June - First Wave 10.00am, Last Wave 12:20pm
To ensure Candlelighters raise enough from the events to cover our costs and then fund the many support services we provide for families, we need participants to raise the minimum fundraising target amount for each event. If you want to support us but aren’t sure if you’ll be able to reach the target, please do get in touch with us for a chat and we’ll help find the best way for you to support us.

By taking on a challenge event for Candlelighters, you’ll be joining #TeamCandlelighters and making a difference to children and families. As part of #TeamCandlelighters, you will receive a fundraising pack and support from our fundraising team, a technical running t-shirt or Vest, and access to our #TeamCandlelighters Facebook group where members can share tips, ask questions and get support. Taking place at Bramham Park, Leeds, and established in 2010, the Great Northern Mud Run is the UK’s biggest obstacle course event. Accept the challenge and tackle up to 25 gruelling obstacles including FIRE, ICE and MUD and the new 100ft Slideaway!
For ages 16+, the 12K course gives you the full Warrior experience and it comes packed with the world’s best obstacles. Expect classics like the ‘Human BBQ’, ’The Plunge’ and ‘The Shocker.’ Also come prepared for brand new obstacles such as the awesome ‘Jail Break‘, ‘Plank‘ and ‘Monkey Business‘ not to mention the BRAND NEW 100ft ‘Slideaway‘
