A Therapeutic Virtual Support Group –  For Carers.

We can help you adjust to life after your loved one has been diagnosed with cancer and the uncertainty it brings.

These virtual group sessions are via Microsoft Teams, available for anyone who is adjusting to life after their loved one has been diagnosed with cancer and you are caring for them.

The sessions will be facilitated by two qualified counsellors and provide a safe space to share your thoughts, experiences and connect with other people affected by cancer. Our trained BACP registered counsellors are highly experienced in helping people affected by cancer and the many emotions it may cause.

This course is:
A Therapeutic Virtual Support Group – For Carers.

A four week programme for people who are adjusting to life after their loved one has been diagnosed with cancer and you are caring for them, who live in Wales and are over the age of 18.

First session: 10am - 11.30am, Tuesday 7th May.
And then at the same time every Tuesday for the following three weeks.

The group will provide a space where participants can:

  • Reflect on the impact of cancer on their lives and by sharing this experience with others, learn more about coping with the uncertainty this brings.
  • Offer support, encouragement and comfort to the other group members, and receive the same in return.
  • Make meaningful, supportive connections with others who have had a similar experience, improve mood and decrease anxiety and feelings of isolation.
  • Find ways to integrate their experiences into their life going forward.
