Join us at Longford Park for a welly good walk!

We are delighted to be returning to Longford Park after a fabulous Welly walk there last year where the sun came out for us too!

How do I get involved?

There are a couple of ways you can get involved...

🐾 Register your dog for a tail-wagging adventure and invite friends and family to sponsor your four-legged friend! Upon completion, they'll fetch their very own doggy bandana and a certificate to mark their paw-some achievement! Up to four people can walk for free when you register your dog.

If you raise £50 from sponsorship, it will pay for one of the lifesaving jackets for our assistance dog partnerships. And if you hit this target, your paw-fect friend will get a treat goody bag as well.

🐾No dog, no problem. We would love for you to still join us. You can do this by making a suggested donation towards our Partnerships, Projects and of course Pups! You will receive a complementary medal or pin badge when you complete the walk.

Register my own dog!

What to expect and some helpful information

Where is the walk?

At Longford Park, Edge Lane, Stretford, M32 8PU. Meet us at our walk hub just outside the cafe.

What time will the walk start?

Our walkers will set off at 11:00 from the start point. There will be an opportunity to register on the morning of the walk from 10:30.

How long is the walk?

There will be two routes to choose from around the park. The short route will be about 1.5km and the longer route is 5km.

Is there parking?

Longford Park is easy to get to using public transport, but the park also has two car parks.

Are there any other facilities?

There is a lovely cafe at the park, just across the way from the start point. The cafe has toilets. There is often an Ice cream van too (even in October!).

Are the routes accessible?

All routes are on tarmacked pathways and should be suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. There aren’t any steep hills either.
