A fun run-style event & fun-filled day for the whole family!

 

The SNAPS Superhero Challenge is an inclusive event which gives children with additional needs the chance to feel like a superhero for the day, whilst raising funds for an amazing cause! 

All ages and abilities are welcome at this exciting event, which will take place at the John Charles Centre for Sport. Children can walk, run or wheel* around the 400m athletics track whilst being cheered on to the finish line where they will receive their own challenge medal! 

Every child will decide on their own distance target for the event. They may choose to go halfway round, the full way round or keep going many times. 

As well as the zoom around the track, the event will be jam-packed with fun accessible activities including: 

  • superhero meet and greet
  • bouncy castle
  • inclusive football sessions with Leeds United Foundation coaches & rugby sessions with Leeds Rhinos Foundation
  • Silent disco
  • the fire brigade and police
  • face painting
  • Craft & sensory play
  • Games
  • and lots more surprises!
The Superhero Challenge has children with additional needs at it's heart, and we work hard to ensure that all families feel safe and happy at the event. We aim to provide entertainment and activities that are suiltable for a range of children's needs, and all of our staff and entertainers have experience in supporting additional needs. The venue is accessible and also enclosed, with stewards at exit points. 
 
Not only does the Superhero Challenge promise to be a fun filled day for all the family, it’s also a great way for SNAPS to raise much needed funds. SNAPS receives no government funding to provide its vital services so we rely on kind, compassionate people like you to support us.

To help SNAPS work and continue providing the support we do for children with additional needs, you can register your family for free and commit to raising £47 in sponsorship. This amount could cover the cost of one SNAPS physiotherapy session.
 
There will be a special gift for all families who reach their target!
 
Alternatively, if you do not wish to fundraise, you can chose to register for £12 per child.
