10th Christmas Event
…and so into the last few days to get your entry in to take part in this festive community event!
Come and join us at the University of Reading for a timed 5k Run and an untimed 2k mini-Run or Walk for ALL. .... Next Sunday 10th December!!
The routes take you through the vast and wonderful University grounds; once again we are very grateful to the University for its support and sponsorship for this fun event at a special time of year.
Entries close at Midnight, this coming Friday... 8th December!
Children under the age of 5yrs are welcome to attend the event accompanied by a responsible adult. Under 5s will be able to take part in the 2k run/walk for free... we would like to encourage under 5s to come in their own festive outfits..
By entering you will be helping Rotary Club of Reading to raise funds to support local charities chosen by our members.
Santa Run Day- Sunday 10th Dec- Timetable- ( see below for parking )
08.30am - We will be open for collecting late entrants race packs- .. Bring proof of your entry please.
09.30am - University closes road access.... if you are still to collect your Race Pack and Santa suit we advise you to allow plenty of time to collect these and get organised. Please remember to bring a pen ( to write emergency details on back of your number bib) and safety pins , in order to pin your bib to your front !
09.50am - 2k gather for warm up and start – prizes will be awarded on the finish line.
10.15am -5k gather for warm up and start
11.10 am - Prizegiving for 5K
Refreshments available in the Quad to purchase
Drinking water is available on site so bring a refillable water bottle with you.
There will be a photographer on site... we will send you a link to his site so that you can peruse and choose, hopefully in the week following the event.
