Lewes Athletic Club 40th anniversary Downland races
The Downland Trail Runs take in some of the beautiful picturesque trails around Black Cap and Mount Harry on the undulating South Downs in Lewes. The route is entirely off-road on a variety of off-road terrain with chalk tracks, grassland, and woodland paths.
This is the club’s 40th anniversary, and also the 40th time the Download races have been held. Celebrate with us – we’ll give you a quality bespoke commemorative mug as part of your entry.
The 10 mile Downland Trail race is part of the Sussex Grand Prix and measured to 10.0 miles by GPS. Awards for top runners in each male and female age category.
The 5-mile race measures 4.75 miles with some hills - but they're not too steep! Awards for the top male and female runners.
Book now to get your advance discount! 10-mile race £25 against £30 on the day. 5-mile race £17 against £20 on the day.
Sight impaired runners are welcome with the use of a guide. Runners with a mobility impairment are advised to make their own judgement based on the course descriptions. Unfortunately, the course is unsuitable for wheelchairs due to the narrow and uneven paths.
