To ensure Candlelighters raise enough from the events to cover our costs and then fund the many support services we provide for families, we need participants to raise the minimum fundraising target amount for each event. If you want to support us but aren’t sure if you’ll be able to reach the target, please do get in touch with us for a chat and we’ll help find the best way for you to support us.

By taking on a challenge event for Candlelighters, you’ll be joining #TeamCandlelighters and making a difference to children and families. As part of #TeamCandlelighters, you will receive a fundraising pack and support from our fundraising team, a technical running t-shirt or Vest, and access to our #TeamCandlelighters Facebook group where members can share tips, ask questions and get support. This is a Fundraising Hike and we offer 3 different distances - 10, 18 and 25 miles, all starting at The Leodiensian Club, Crag Lane, Leeds, LS17 5PR

Choose Your Challenge:

    • 10 Miles — Stunning climb to end point at Surprise View (LS21 3DG)
    • 18 Miles — Scenic Yeadon, Horsforth & end point at The Bridge Inn (LS18 4HN)
    • 25 Miles — Ultimate city-to-nature loop back to the end point at The Leodiensian Club (LS17 5PR)

Please note that parking is £5.00 per car at the Rugby club - we encourage car sharing for those walking together.
