I understand that taking part in The Falklands Challenge in any capacity can put my body at risk of injury or illness during the course of the event. The Veterans Charity has implemented a safety management package to reduce associated risks. I hereby declare that I will follow all instructions given to me by the Event Team and that I will follow the rules of participation as set out during all communications and pre-event/safety briefings, and acknowledge that failure to do so, may automatically forfeit my place on the event. In this instance, I understand that I will not be entitled to a refund, and not hold The Veterans Charity liable for any financial incursion. I also declare that I will, if necessary take out any personal event insurance, if I deem it fit. Failure to declare any previous medical / surgical / health issues will dissolve The Veterans Charity of any liability, within the confines of English Law. Our medical team need to know of all medical and surgical history, current diagnosis and any conditions or injuries which may cause you a problem during this event. This includes mental health conditions. All information will be treated in the strictest confidence and only access by relevant, qualified and authorised persons. I am aware of and accept elements of risk and take responsibility for my own actions and I am aware that I am taking part in an event where death or serious injury are risks. If I am in any doubt about my ability to take part I am responsible for consulting a doctor prior to the event. I understand The Veterans Charity and its associated event partners are under no liability in respect of personal loss, injury or death that I may sustain, except as required by English Law. This will not effect, as will none of the above, my statutory rights or The Veterans Charity's obligations towards me. The Veterans Charity, may on occasion take photographs and/or video of participants for use in print materials or by electronic methods. Your entry into The Falklands Family Challenge and participation in The Veterans Charity events, grants permission for The Veterans Charity, to use these photographs and/or video in its marketing and public relations effort.
