The EG10k is a community event organised “for runners, by runners” with all profits going to East Grinstead Lions and their Prostate Cancer Screening event and Being Neighbourly.
It is organised and supported by volunteers from East Grinstead Runners, surrounding clubs, our amazing charities and East Grinstead Lions who will provide friendly encouragement, no matter what the weather. The race is dedicated to the memory of Andy Ripley OBE, English rugby union international, an active East Grinstead sportsman and former member of both EGAC and EGTC, who sadly died from prostate cancer in 2010.
The event attracts 300-400 competitors and caters for all abilities, from those looking to complete their first 10Km to more experienced/seasoned runners from surrounding clubs. The first 7km is off-road on well-surfaced bridleways and the final 3km are on residential roads. The route is well marshalled and has a water station at 5km.
