If the act of asking people for money really isn't for you, then we do offer the option to make a one-off (£20 minimum) donation instead. Your entry fee only covers the cost to put on the event. It's the sponsorship money raised by event participants - people just like you - which goes towards funding patient care. We ask that everyone who takes part in this event raises or donates a minimum of £20 in addition to your entry fee. Once you have registered for this event a fundraising page will be created for you and a fundraising pack and sponsorship form will be emailed to you.

Terms and Conditions of The Big Tackle 2025 Participants

- Fundraising Responsibility
I understand that I am expected to raise or donate a minimum of �20 in addition to my entry fee.

- Sponsorship Usage
I understand that if I am raising sponsorship for Rowcroft Hospice, I am not permitted to use any of the money I raise to pay for any personal expenses. All sponsorship money must be sent directly to Rowcroft Hospice within three months of the event.

- Health and Fitness
I confirm that I am of reasonable health and fitness to undertake this walk and will contact the Rowcroft Hospice Events team if I have any specific needs related to disabilities, health issues, or medical conditions.

- Liability and Responsibility
I acknowledge that Rowcroft Hospice is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to me or my property incurred during participation in The Big Tackle unless caused by negligence from Rowcroft Hospice, its employees, or agents.

- Age Restrictions and Supervision
I understand that if I am aged between 8-17 years old, I must have full parental consent to take part and be accompanied at all times by a registered adult participant (aged 21 or over). This adult cannot supervise more than three 8-17-year-olds. I also understand that I am fully responsible for supervising any 8-17 year olds under my care during the event.

- Alcohol and Behavior
I agree to drink responsibly and behave appropriately during the event. Any behavior deemed unsuitable or any inappropriate actions under the influence of alcohol or drugs may result in my removal from the event. The marquee bar will operate a Challenge 25 policy, and I may be asked for identification before redeeming my free pint.

- Respect for Local Residents
I am aware that the route includes residential areas, and I will be respectful of local residents. I agree to follow all safety advice given on the day.

- Emergency Contact Information
I understand that I MUST provide emergency contact details for someone who is not participating in the event for my registration to be confirmed.

- Media Consent
I authorise the use of any images/film taken during the event by Rowcroft Hospice for future promotional purposes.

- Liability for Belongings
I understand that Rowcroft Hospice is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings during the event.

- Refunds and Cancellations
I understand that my registration fee is non-refundable, except in cases where Rowcroft Hospice cancels the event.

- Changes to Event
I understand that Rowcroft Hospice reserves the right to alter the event schedule, course, or details in the case of unforeseen circumstances (such as adverse weather or other safety concerns), and that I will be notified of any significant changes.

- Safety Compliance
I agree to follow the instructions of event officials, marshals, and safety personnel, and to attend the safety briefing provided before the event. Failure to comply may result in my removal from the event.
