The Big Avon Paddle 2023
Saturday, 16 September 2023, 10:00
The Big Avon Paddle is back Saturday 16 September! Join Dorothy House as we spend some time on the River Avon.
The route is a 4.5 mile loop that starts at the Bath Boathouse (Newbridge Road, Bath) and turns back at Saltford Marina (Saltford, Bristol). Paddlers can do the loop as many, or as few, times as you wish. The Big Avon Paddle isn’t a race; it’s a paced event that’s enjoyable for all participants of all abilities and ages.
The event starts at 10am and finishes at 6pm. The enjoyable and picturesque route provides plenty opportunities for stopping, refreshments, loo breaks and catching up with fellow paddlers.
Entrants 16+ can participate on their own. Entrants under 16 years old must be accompanied on the paddleboard/kayak/canoe by a paying adult.
Event entry is £20 and every participant should aim to raise £200 in sponsorship for Dorothy House. The entry fee covers the cost of a medal and food at the finish.
