We invite you aboard the Glenlee to share a watch on deck with storyteller Ailsa Dixon, who will share stories of Andy and his friends, the young apprentices who sailed the Glenlee during the final years of the Great War. Ailsa will draw out themes of transition and becoming, weaving tales of storms and adventure, shipboard dramas and mysteries, animals and practical jokes, with shanties, jokes and reflection on growing up against a backdrop of a fast-changing and turbulent world.

Ailsa will deliver 30-minute performances that bring ‘The Apprentice’s Tale’ to life on Saturday 19th November. There will be four performances throughout the day, three require pre-booking, but the 1.30 pm performance is a drop-in session. Tickets are free and all children will need to be accompanied and tickets booked for accompanying adults.

The performance has been developed for children aged 11+ but will be suitable for ages 5 and up.
