The Summer Solstice Walking Challenge is a unique event held on the longest day of the year, This year the challenge will take place on the 19th June 2025

This challenge involves walking from sunrise to sunset,  04.39 - 21.41. Over 17 hours of non-stop walking, making the most of the extended daylight hours and encourageing conversations of care and support. 

The challenge aims to raise awareness and funds for mental health support services. Participants walk to support charities like Lancashire Mind, promoting the connection between physical activity and mental well-being


Participation
  • Who can join: Anyone! Whether you're part of a business, community group, school, or just an individual who loves to walk
     
  • Activities: Walk and talk, host meetings, or pledge to walk a certain number of miles
