It’s time to Step Up!

Step Up September challenges you to walk 30 minutes each day this September. You can do the challenge around your own time, from wherever you feel comfortable. The time trackers will start from 1 September and end on 30 September.

Walk your way through September with our virtual walking challenge. It is not the distance you travel, it’s the time you give and the money you raise to help build a future where nobody needs to use a food bank.

  • Sign up! You can sign up for free or choose an optional £10 registration fee and get a Trussell Trust t-shirt to wear on your challenge!*
  • Set your target - There’s no minimum sponsorship, but £100 gets you a fantastic medal.
  • Shout about it - Share your fundraising page, get your friend’s and family’s support.
  • Clock your progress - Using a fitness app like Strava and Fitbit is an easy way to clock your walks. If you don't have a fitness app, no problem! You can download our Step Up September tracker poster, stick to the fridge or proudly to wall, tick off each day and let everyone see your great achievement.

We are delighted to let you know that Step Up September 2023 is coming...please come back soon!

This is your chance to get active and take on this epic challenge to raise funds so we can keep taking steps to end the need for food banks in the UK.

Between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021, food banks in the Trussell Trust’s UK wide network distributed 5,100 emergency food parcels a day to people in crisis. Almost 2,000 of those parcels were provided for children every day.

This isn’t right.

Together we can build a fairer, more just society, where all of us can afford the essentials.

We support a nationwide network of food banks and together we provide emergency food; support to people locked in poverty and campaign for long-term change. PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to forward funds onto individual food banks. All funds raised here go direct to The Trussell Trust.

*The optional £10 registration fee covers the cost of a t-shirt, postage and any profit is added to the challenge fundraising total, so that we can continue our work of ending the need for food banks in the UK.  Please note that due to postal strikes, there may be a slight delay in receiving your t-shirt.

Free Entry sign ups will not get a t-shirt as part of their registration.
