Step UP this February and help transform lives of Survivors of Burns and traumatic scarring.

What is Step UP

Simply set yourself a target distance to walk – or run – in February and help us by raising as much money as you can in sponsorship.

Choose your target distance a day and do it your way!

Why take part?

For many burn survivors, walking and movement is an important goal due to their injuries and the scarring they are left with.

One of our survivors;  David, sustained traumatic burns to his entire body in a house fire in 2017. David’s injuries were so severe, that he didn’t know if he would be able to walk again, let alone walk his beloved dog Kane. But after significant and specialist psychological support, David has been able to come to terms with the emotional impact of his injuries. We provided a personal trainer and physiotherapy services, enabling David to improve his scarring and regain his physical strength - to the point where he can now take his best friend and companion Kane on daily walks again, sometimes they’ll walk miles together.

So, whatever your goal is, whether it is to move more, do 5,000 or 10,000 steps a day, or walk the distance to a landmark over the month, by Stepping UP, you will be helping us to provide the much-needed physical and psychological rehabilitation to survivors like David, across the UK.

It’s your challenge - 29 days your way, pick your distance, put on your shoes and beanie hat, and you’re off!

We just ask that you raise a minimum of £50 – this would fund a session of therapy for a survivor.
