Thank you for offering to volunteer at the Hospice Hike on Saturday 22nd June 2024.

We are mainly looking for route marshals for this event, however there are some roles available at the main event area outside the Town Hall before and after the walk. There are 3 routes: a 10km, half marathon and full marathon. There will be 1 checkpoint on the 10km route (halfway) and 3 on the half and full marathon. As well as checking in, there will be water and toilets at each checkpoint. You could be based at a checkpoint or at another point on route to help direct the walkers.

As this is an all-day event, there will be 2 time slots to cover certain positions on the route. We ask that all volunteers use their own transport to get to their marshal position. If this is not possible, please let us know, so we can allocate your role accordingly.

If you are between the ages of 14–18 and would like to volunteer, you still can. You will just need permission from a parent / guardian and for them to join you on the day.
