Join us for an informative day exploring palliative and end of life care education and research

We are delighted to announce the return of our St Barnabas conference, dedicated to showcasing education and research in palliative and end of life care across Lincolnshire.

Hosted by Lincolnshire’s hospice leaders, with representation from specialist local and national agencies and keynote speakers, the event will feature key sessions, interactive breakout activities and networking opportunities.

Keynote Speakers

Professor Alun Roebuck – Senior Consultant Nurse in Cardiology
Bringing a heart failure and palliative perspective to clinical care

Dr Adam Brown - Consultant in Palliative Medicine
Sharing his professional journey, experience, and learning from a PGCert in Medical Education

Dr Greg Whitley – Paramedic Research Fellow
Exploring his research journey and key principles for research in practice

Breakout activities

Clinical board games - a fun, interactive space to explore how games can support learning in health and social care education
Clinical equipment & simulation stand - an informal environment with realistic simulated wounds / moulage demonstrations to spark discussion
Syringe driver education - a drop-in practice space to learn more about syringe drivers in palliative care, ask questions and trial setting one up
ReSPECT documentation - a supportive session where delegates can learn about completing ReSPECT forms, understand challenges and practise

Health professionals from across the county and beyond, along with national third sector organisations, medical schools, and students, are invited to reserve a place and gain essential knowledge in palliative and end of life care.

There will also be a separate drop-in area open to the general public, providing an opportunity to meet our clinical staff, ask questions, and find out more about St Barnabas.

Spaces are limited – early booking is encouraged. Book your place today!
