The run will be a clearly marked and marshaled undulating mixed terrain route. Starting by the boardwalk beach club cafe the run takes in a short scenic off road loop in the field behind the Roman Fort and Cramond Kirk before heading down towards the island crossing. It is around a mile from the Promenade to the island and there is a short hill climb across the island before circumnavigating the beach around the back of the island.
