Scottish Half Marathon and 10K
Sunday, 16 August 2026, 11:00
Take on the Scottish Half Marathon or Scottish 10K and run for the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, supporting those who have served and their families when they need it most.
The Scottish Half Marathon is one of the fastest and flattest half marathon routes in the country, perfect for runners chasing a personal best. Starting just outside Edinburgh, the course takes you along the stunning East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse, Scotland’s oldest racecourse.
The Scottish 10K also starts and finishes at Musselburgh Racecourse and offers a fast, flat route along the beautiful Golf Coast, making it ideal for both first-time runners and experienced athletes looking for a quick time.
Whether you're taking on your first challenge or pushing for a new PB, every mile you run will help provide vital financial assistance, emotional wellbeing support and practical help to the RAF community.
We ask runners taking part in the Scottish Half Marathon to aim for a minimum of £300 in sponsorship, while Scottish 10K runners are asked to raise a minimum of £200. In return, you’ll receive a free running top and dedicated fundraising support from our team to help you smash your target.
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll become part of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund community on Enthuse, where you can connect with fellow runners, share your training journey and celebrate your progress together.
We know fundraising can feel daunting, whether you’re taking on your first 10K or preparing for a half marathon, but you won’t be doing it alone. Our team will be there to support you throughout your journey with fundraising tips, resources and encouragement to help you reach your target and make a real difference to the RAF community.
