Event Details and Logistics: The event is based at Staffin Community Hall, offering excellent facilities and delicious food at The Hungry Gull with a 10% discount for athletes. Changing & shower facilities available [not on site]. You can easily reach Skye by car via the toll-free bridge at Broadford or by ferry from Mallaig.

RACE DISTANCES & COURSE INFORMATION
Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 19.7km cycle, 5km run)
Swim from the Staffin Bay boat slipway, then exit the water and enter T1. Cycle the closed An Corran Road to the junction of the A855 turning left on the open road towards Lealt Fall. The turn-around point will be a right hand turn 80 metres before the Lealt Falls car park. It will be signed & marshalled - please drop into a low gear. This is a foot down turning. Return to Staffin Community Hall for T2 and run to Staffin Bay and back.
Super Sprint & Novice Triathlon (300m swim, 10.7km cycle, 2.5km run)
Swim from the Staffin Bay slipway, then exit the water and enter T1. Cycle the closed An Corran Road to the junction of the A855 turning left on the open road past Kilt Rock. The turn-around point will be past Kilt Rock on the flat, clearly signed and marshalled - please drop into a low gear. Return to Staffin Community Hall for T2 and run partially to Staffin Bay and back.
TS2 (11-12 years old) & TS3 (13-14 years old) - (300m swim, 5.1km cycle, 1.8 km run)
300m swim from Staffin Bay slipway. Cycle on closed roads traversing one lap [up, back, up again] of An Corran Road to T2 at the junction of the A855. Run back towards the Staffin Bay slipway to a turning point, clearly marked & marshalled, and then return to the finish line at Staffin Community Hall.
Tri Start (8 years old) & TS1 (9-10 years old) - (100m swim, 1.8km cycle, 600m run)
100m swim from Staffin Bay slipway. Cycle on closed roads along An Corran Beach to T2 at junction of A855. Run on pavement to Staffin Community Hall and finish.
STAFFIN 10K
The Staffin 10k starts at Staffin Community Hall, turning right onto the A855, running on pavement to the right turn up Garros Road to the 5k turn marker and back.
SPECTATOR INFORMATION
Enjoy stunning views of the race from the shore or roadside. Please note that the roads are closed to vehicles during the event, and walking to the finish line is a significant distance suitable only for those with good mobility.
CHARITABLE GIVING
We're proud to support grass roots sports and the Skye Tri Club with proceeds from the triathlon. Your optional donation will help fund youth triathlon training activities in this remote community. Additionally, you can offset your carbon footprint by planting a tree for £6.
