BORN 2 RUN EVENTS are pleased to announce this year's SEA2SKY race will take place on Friday 17th July, Newcastle and offers a 10K, 10K Walk and 5K.

Race Start Times

10K Walk: 6.30pm (Starts on promenade)

5k Race: 7.30pm - PLEASE ALLOW 15 MINUTES FROM REGISTRATION TO WALK TO THE 5K START LINE WHICH IS IN DONARD FOREST. 

10K Race: 7.30pm (Starts on promenade)

Online Registration (before 11pm on Wednesday 8th July 2026) as ALL RACE PACKS WILL BE POSTED to participants.

The race boasts an awesome route starting on the promenade in Newcastle (5K starts in Donard Forest) and includes a mix of road and track before heading up through the foothills of the Mournes.

In the first half you will move off-road onto trails that climb gradually to the 5K mark where you will be rewarded by stunning views over Newcastle and beyond before descending to finish on Newcastle’s award winning promenade. (Only 40 minutes drive from Newry).

Please note 5K and 10K distances are approximate and may vary slightly due to the off road nature of the course.

Race Route IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

 We would like to advise runners that a section of the Sea 2 Sky race route is on private land and can only be accessed on race day, as we have permission from the land owners.  It is the rough mountain section and we respectfully ask that runners do not access this area prior to race day.

 PLEASE NOTE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION YOU WILL NEED TO CHOOSE EITHER NI (£3) OR Rep of Ireland (£4) POSTAL OPTION.
