Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance are bringing the Runway Run back to Southampton Airport in 2026!
The unique 5K event offers runners the rare opportunity to race on the airport's smooth, straight tarmac.
With a pre-dawn warm-up and a 05:30 start, it’s the perfect setting to chase a personal best while experiencing the thrill of running on an active runway.
Registration:
Entry is £30 per person and places are limited.
Entry is open to everyone aged 14 and above.
Anyone between 14-17 years must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Registration closes 17 May.

Check in opens: 04:00

There are just 1,500 places available and spaces sold within weeks last year, so register today to secure your spot!
Please be aware that due to departing flights and the need to reopen the runway, the event has a strict one-hour time limit. We kindly ask that all participants complete the run by 06:30.

Event Car Parking:
A pre-pay parking option is now available when registering for this event. Parking can be secured at the Southampton Airport Long-Stay Car Park for £5. This will provide you with a designated pass to access the car parking facilities. Spaces will be limited. Please car share where possible to help improve traffic flow.
Alternatively, parking is available at Southampton Airport Parkway Railway Station, where standard charges will apply.
Please note: Pets are not allowed at the event or on the runway.
