Join us during the month of March 2025 to "Re-Boot" and Raise money for the Field Studies Council Grants for Schools programme.

Help us raise £10,000 for our Grants for Schools programme, which provides bursaries for schools and young people to attend our Field Centres and participate in curriculum based outdoor learning.

Schools and parents are increasingly struggling to meet the costs of these trips. The curriculum is crowded and organising time "out of school" is challenging. These vital opportunities to study the world first hand are no longer a guaranteed part of a child's education. Sadly, those that might benefit the most are the most likely to miss out.

You can help make that difference by committing to walk, run, cycle, swim or however you would like to move during the month of March and as a team complete the distance of 514 miles from our most Northern Field Centre in Millport, Scotland, to our Southernmost Field Centre at Slapton Ley in Devon, and commit to raising £1,000 as a team. We would envisage the teams being made up of 7-10 people, so an individual goal of 51-73 miles during the month and £100-£150 individual fundraising.

There's no pressure though! Feel free to set your own targets and just do your best. The minimum targets are just suggestions and nothing bad will happen if you don't reach them.

To give you an idea of how that will help:

  • £35 covers the cost of a day trip to one of our centres for one young person
  • £225 could provide a free two-night residential trip for one young person

Help provide amazing outdoor learning experiences for disadvantaged young people by signing up today. Registration costs £5.99 and you can either join an existing team or start your own.
