It's back for 2026! Join us in September for another walk along an iconic London underground route: The Piccadilly line.

Supported by Transport for London, the Railway Children Rail Trail will follow the iconic Piccadilly line overland. 

This year we are offering 3 distances to choose from, so there really is something for everyone!

• Uxbridge > Cockfosters - 58km - The Main Line

• Sudbury Town > Kings Cross - 20km - The Branch Line

• Hammersmith > Kings Cross - 12km - The Side Line

The Rail Trail is a great way to get fit, enjoy the lesser-seen sites of London and build up team spirit - whether you're taking part with friends, family or colleagues. 

The event has a fundraising target of £100 (£200 for the Main line) per participant and the process of gathering sponsorship couldn’t be easier. But, as well as raising money, this experience is about challenging yourself and having fun, and there are plenty of opportunities at stations along the route to rest your feet, fuel your body, let your hair down and enjoy some photo opportunities together. 

Although there is route markers set for this event, and you will get given a map, this is a participant led event and by signing up you are agreeing to this.
