St Helena Hospice’s flagship event, Pier to Pier, returns on Sunday 18^th May to celerbate our 40th anniversary! Hundreds of local people will walk along the beautiful Essex coast in aid of their local hospice.

The scenic walk, which has been going since 2011, starts from either Clacton or Walton Pier taking in views of the sea, and participants can choose to walk the seven miles between the two piers or challenge themselves further to make the return journey – 14 miles in all.

Pier to Pier is open to all ages, plus the route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Many people walk on their own or in groups to remember their loved ones, or simply take part to support their local hospice.

We have a special 'Ruby Ticket' to help support the hospice at Pier to Pier in 2025.

no fundraising required - could provide vital care and support for patients at the end of their life from a Hospice Nurse for 1 hour.

no fundraising required (child 5-17yrs) - could provide support and comfort to an individual grieving the death of a loved one with help from a bereavement support worker.
