Muslim Charity has identified Habib Shoro, a flood-affected village in Sindh, Pakistan, where residents, primarily from an ultra-poor background, rely on daily labour for survival. After the devastation of the 2022 floods, many families are living in temporary shelters, and their belongings are lost. The project aims to build a model village, providing permanent, one-room homes and essential facilities, bringing hope, resilience, and sustainable development to this vulnerable community.

The "Adopt a Village" project aims to transform a community through sustainable development, providing essential shelter, economic opportunities, and social cohesion. The initiative will construct 35 homes with basic amenities such as kitchens and washrooms while also addressing the lack of clean drinking water with a solar-powered supply. Critical community infrastructure, including a mosque, community hall, public park, and income-generating shops, will be established to promote local commerce, empower youth, and strengthen community bonds. The project prioritizes environmental sustainability with solar lights for each household and tree planting. Additionally, the initiative focuses on building the community's capacity to manage and sustain these developments, ensuring long-term impact and resilience. This project is a comprehensive approach to rebuilding lives, creating opportunities, and fostering a thriving, self-sufficient village for the future.
