Oxford Hospitals Charity Treasure Trail

Embark on your very own voyage of discovery, exploring the hidden gems of Oxford’s historic city centre. Solve cryptic clues and follow treasure maps to weave a route past familiar landmarks like the Radcliffe Camera, as well as visiting parts of this beautiful city you’d never noticed before. Share your pieces of eight with the family or recruit your colleagues to join your very own pirate crew and make a day of it.

How could my sponsorship help?

Your fundraising and sponsorship could make a big difference to your local hospitals, helping to fund state-of-the-art medical equipment, specialist training, and making hospitals wards and spaces more comfortable for patients and staff.

Oxford Hospitals Charity is dedicated to enhancing the local hospitals that care for you and your loved ones – your support is greatly appreciated.

What can I expect?

  • We will send you full details of the route two weeks before the event, including a treasure map and all the Oxford highlights you will see.
  • The route is 2.5 miles long – or 4 km in new money. There are plenty of watering holes along the way – Oxford is well served with cafés and pubs. It’s push-chair friendly and there are step-free alternatives along the way.
  • The link is sent to a mobile phone and at each new stage a clue is shared. Don’t worry if you get stuck – you can ask for a hint to point you in the right direction!
  • Go at your own pace – this is designed to be fun! But there are prizes for the best fundraising team and the best photo from the day.

What else do I need to know?

The recommended minimum age is 8 and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents are required to sign a waiver.

Please follow government guidelines at the time of the event – stay COVID safe.
