Thank you for your interest in nominating a member of the neuroendocrine cancer community for the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Hero Award 2024. This is the inaugural event in what we hope will become a long-standing tradition of celebrating our remarkable community. We appreciate your participation!

Through these awards, we aim to celebrate the bravery and resilience of those living with neuroendocrine cancer, the dedication and support of medical professionals, the love and encouragement from friends and family, and the extraordinary fundraising achievements that enable Neuroendocrine Cancer UK to continue its vital work.

Along with celebrating our wonderful community, we place special emphasis on raising awareness of neuroendocrine cancer. Therefore, we ask anyone who can to share news of the awards on their social media and in person. You can do so by sharing directly from our social media pages or by emailing us: [email protected]

There are 6 Award categories:

  • Someone living with neuroendocrine cancer
  • Neuroendocrine cancer nurse
  • Neuroendocrine cancer doctor / surgeon
  • Friends / family / supporter
  • Fundraiser
  • An Allied health professional (Dietitians, Counsellors, Nuclear Medicine Physicists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Radiographers, Clinical Scientists etc).

As we receive nominations, we will share the nominees' stories on our social media channels and website to celebrate their achievements and raise awareness of neuroendocrine cancer. Once the nominations have closed, our judging panel will select a shortlist of finalists. These finalists will be announced to the public for the final voting round in November. Winners will receive a custom award and certificate!

Here are some tips that may help when completing the form:

  • Nominations are scored using only the information included on the form so please include as much supporting information about your nominee as you can. This will really help the judging panel to get a good idea of the impact your nominee has had.
  • We have decided not to allow any Neuroendocrine Cancer UK staff to be nominated for awards. If you wish to nominate an Ambassador or Natter facilitator, please ensure your reasoning is for their work / impact outside of their Neuroendocrine Cancer UK work.
  • You may wish to write your nomination in a word document first and then copy/paste into this form to ensure you don't lose any information since the form cannot be saved and returned to.
