Mount Kenya and Walk for Water
12 October 2023 - 25 October 2023
This unique opportunity allows you to have two amazing experiences in one - to explore and summit the stunningly beautiful Mount Kenya followed by enjoying the immersive cultural experience of visiting Bomet County to meet the communities your fundraising has helped to support.
Mount Kenya
Mount Kenya is a true hidden gem. It receives significantly fewer visitors than it's higher sibling Kilimanjaro but is no less impressive.
The 5 day trek along the Chogoria route encompasses incredible views and landscapes comprising epic rock spires, grand lakes, incredible glaciers and a whole host of African wildlife along the way.
With a scramble to Point Lenana, the trekking summit, you will feel a huge sense of accomplishment and then get to revel in the view of an epic sunrise across the vast African landscape - a moment that you will remember forever.

Walk for Water
After celebrating your climbing accomplishments you will then travel to Ndanai, Bomet County - the region where Dig Deep does most of it's work. Here you will visit the communities your fundraising has supported and see first hand the impact you have had.
Hosted by our local Kenyan team, you will be immersed within the local community, visiting projects you have made possible and spending 3 days walking around the beautiful Bomet County and each night being hosted by local community centres or schools where you'll setup camp in their grounds.

The trip will take place from 12th October - 25th October with the fundraising total being due 8 weeks before trip departure.
Our fundraisers are undertaking this challenge to raise money to support Dig Deep (digdeep.org.uk) in our mission to accelerate access to water, sanitation and good hygiene for over 1 million people in Bomet County, Kenya, helping marginalised children and families lift themselves out of poverty.
We believe every resident in Kenya has a fundamental right to access clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene, however, where we work in Kenya, 8 out of every 10 people lack access to clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene.
