Setting Up a Men's Walk to Support Team

  • To set up a new team choose “Create a new team and register”
    • Choose the team name
    • Enter the e-mails for your fellow teammates (if you want to now)
      • Note – this e-mail will only be sent to your teammates if you now enter the event in this transaction yourself
    • Enter the event yourself.  Your team has now been created
  • If you’ve already set up a team and your members would like to join
    • They need to choose “Join a team and register”
    • The person then needs to choose your team name and join it
    • You can add e-mails of other people who would like to enter the team here too or you can ignore this and just enter yourself
  • Team fundraising
    • All teams have an overall team page.  This will display the team fundraising total and overall team target
    • Within that page will be each individual fundraising page
    • If people would like to sponsor your team they can do so here or they can choose an individual member of that team to sponsor

Event Details

 

Join us on Sunday 13 February for our Men’s Walk To Support!  

 

This 7.3 mile walk is for men aged 12+ to join together in solidarity and raise vital funds for end-of-life care in our local community. 

 

The walk starts at12 noonfrom Dorothy House, Winsley. Participants will set off on the route that follows along the canal and finishes at Bath Pavilion, in time to watch the Six Nations England v Italy match at 3pm. 

 

Celebrate your epic achievement with a well-earned free pint and food in the Pavilion!  

 

Team up with your brother, your son, your dad, your best mates, or take on the walk solo – it’s up to you! The Men’s Walk To Support is a great chance to chat and share experiences with fellow participants while supporting our vital work at Dorothy House.  

 

Entry is £25 and all participants get a FREE event t-shirt. Raise over £200 in sponsorship and youll also get a FREE beanie hat! Every single penny raised helps us to be there for other patients and their families who need us. So, sign up today and start your fundraising to show your support for hospice care! 

 

If you are a team you can enter all your teammates' e-mail addresses to send them invites to the event.  But must enter the event yourself in this transaction otherwise the e-mail addresses won't send. 

 

 

Terms and Conditions 

 

Participants must be aged 12 or over on Sunday 13 February 2022. All entrants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult entrant. 

 

The non-refundable entry fee is to cover the cost of administration and resources for the event and entitles each walker to food and a pint (soft drink for under 18s) and a t-shirt. 

 

All participants are expected to raise sponsorship - a minimum of £50 (or £25 for under 18s) - or make a personal donation in lieu of sponsorship. 

 

You enter the walk at your own risk and should not take part unless medically fit to walk 8 miles and complete the distance within three hours. 

 

While all reasonable action has been taken by Dorothy House to ensure the safety of participants, the charity cannot be held accountable for any injury, loss or damage sustained during this event.
