You Raise Me Up ‘Memories at Sunset’ Remembrance Walk.

Friday 30^th August 2024- 5:30pm – 9:00pm

Seven Sisters County Park, Exceat, Near Seaford, East Sussex, BN25 4AD.

Join us for 'Memories at Sunset,' a special walk to remember our loved ones. We'll stroll to the beach, watch the sunset, and light up lanterns we've decorated. These lanterns will shine as the sun sets, symbolizing the enduring light of our memories.

Adult aged 16+ registration- REQUIRED to raise a minimum of £20 for YRMU.

• Includes ONE holdable paper lantern which will be posted to you 4 weeks before the event for you to decorate.
• For every ONE Adult registered INCLUDES ONE child under 16 entry FREE. (Please ensure you complete the registration form to select whether a child will be joining or not)

Well behaved dogs are welcome. (must be on a lead for the duration)

There are TWO car parks on site, one being across a very busy road so please be advised if you are coming with friends and family, try and car share or use the bus route.

Bus service- from Eastbourne Town Centre: bus 12A or 12X to Seven Sisters Country Park

(Car parks are closed at 9:00 pm. We are scheduled to arrive park at the car parks at approximately 8:45 pm. IT IS THE PARTICIPANTS RESPONSIBILITY TO BE OUT OF THE CAR PARKS BY 9:00 PM. Please stick to our itinerary.)

We would love for all our participants to wear a touch of pink at our event to represent You Raise Me Up.

Decorated lanterns- A holdable paper lantern will be posted to you 4 weeks before the event for you to decorate ready for the event. This lantern serves as a canvas to express your love and memories for your cherished ones. Feel free to adorn it with pictures, heartfelt messages, or any personal touches that reflect your fond memories. Let this lantern be a beacon of remembrance and celebration as we come together to honour our loved ones. We can't wait to see your creations shine brightly during our event.

On the day of the event at registration, you will be given the lights for your lanterns. 

(Toilet facilities available during the registration period- 5:30 pm - 6:00pm)

Our walking route is approximately 4.1km all round. Accessibility route available.   

ITINERARY AND ROUTE MAP WILL BE SENT TO OUR PARTICIPANTS ONCE REGISTERED.
