Alan Corcoran is currently swimming 500km along the length of Ireland from the Giant’s Causeway, Co. Antrim to his hometown of Waterford in aid of the Irish Heart Foundation and the Solas Cancer Support Centre.

To help meet his €20,000 target, Alan is inviting you to be a part of this charity event by swimming with him on the final section of the epic journey which will conclude on Tramore Beach.

Participants will swim a total of 600 metres, swimming a triangular route from Tramore Beach, 300 metres to a marker where they will be joined by Alan and will then follow him 300 metres to the finish line back on the beach.

This is not a race, rather an opportunity to raise some funds for stroke and cancer charities, have a splash and join in the celebration of local success.

The entry fee is €20 euro. All proceeds after event costs go to the Irish Heart Foundation and the Solas Cancer Support Centre. An additional administration fee of €1.58 is incurred when using this payment platform and there is the option to make an additional donation towards the charities if you so wish at the payment stage.

**DATE CONFIRMED Sunday July 21st at 6pm.**

Due to the nature of Alan’s 500km sea swim, we cannot yet confirm the date of the swim until one week prior to the event. However, we can confirm it will take place on a weekend and Alan plans to be swimming into Tramore towards the end of July, six to eight weeks after his start date on the 1st June. You can track his progress live on his website

Swimmers register online in advance of the event (which will close a day before the finale) and then sign-in at Tramore Lifeguard Hut on the day.
A comprehensive Safety Plan is in place for the event. First aid and safety personnel will be on hand to ensure safety is paramount both in and out of the water.

Participants must be over 18 and wetsuits are compulsory. To distinguish participants, event swim caps will be provided on the day to be worn by all.
