2025 London Landmarks Half T&C�s 

Royal Mencap Society (Mencap) conditions of entry to the 2025 London Landmarks Half Marathon 

  

1. This agreement is with the Royal Mencap Society registered charity number 222377. 

 

 2. All runners must be 18 years or older on the day of the event. 

 

3. These terms and conditions apply to you upon your payment of the non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of �25 to take part in 2025 London Landmarks Half on behalf of Mencap. 

3.1 Once we have received your registration fee we will send you a fundraising pack to 		support you with your fundraising plans and help you to reach your target. 

 

4. You enter the London Landmarks Half entirely at your own risk and Mencap shall not be liable for any injury or loss which you may suffer or incur as a result of your participation in this event.  

 

5. You must abide by the rules, instructions and regulations provided by Mencap staff, contracted agencies, officials and police. 

  

6. If you are unsure of your physical ability to take part, you should take medical advice from your doctor to ensure that you are physically fit to participate, and it is extremely important that you are realistic about your abilities to participate. 

 

7. You agree to raise the minimum sponsorship of �350 which is exclusive of gift aid. You shall make every effort to raise additional sponsorship funds beyond the minimum requirement.  

7.1 You agree to raise at last 50% of the sponsorship �175 one-month 6 March 2025 prior to 	the date of the event and the remaining 50% buy one month after the event 6 May 2025. 

7.2 you agree to provide Mencap with a progress report upon request. 

 

8. Mencap may withdraw a place if it considers that you are not committed to raising the sponsorship amount.   

8.1 Mencap reserves the right to inform the organisers of any participants who do not raise 	the full fundraising amount. This may result in the organisers barring them from taking part 	in future events they hold. 

  

9. By registering for the event with Mencap you accept that we will share your personal details (name, email address, phone number) with the London Landmarks so that London Landmarks can email the participant in order to fulfil their event entry. 

   

10. The registration fee is refundable only if the event is cancelled by Mencap. The registration fee will not be refunded for any other reason. If you withdraw you must notify Mencap on 020 7696 6946 or email events@mencap.org.uk.  

  

11. If for any reason you choose not to take part or the event is cancelled, all sponsorship forms and money collected must be forwarded to Mencap and will not be refunded without a written request from individual sponsors.  

 

12 If you withdraw from the 2025 London Landmarks Half Marathon due to injury we are unable to roll your place over to another year and your registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. You will be encourage to apply the following year but all new fees and fundraising will still apply. 

 

13. You must pass onto Mencap all monies raised in connection with the event. You can: 

 i. Pay online with your credit or debit card 

ii. Raise funds through JustGiving or Enthuse 

iii. Send cheques made payable to Mencap, 6 Cyrus Way, Hampton, Peterborough, PE7 8HP. 

14. In fundraising for Mencap you agree:  

i. To submit all used and unused sponsorship forms 

ii. Not to reproduce Mencap�s logo without permission 

iii. Not to collect in a private place without first obtaining a collector�s licence from the local authority 

iv. Not to raise funds by carrying out house to house collections 

v. Not to raise funds by conducting a public lottery or raffle 

vi. Not to do anything to bring the name of Mencap into disrepute. 

 

15. During the course of the event video footage and photographs will be taken to publicise the event and the work that Mencap does. We respect peoples right to privacy and take every effort to obtain the prior consent before publishing such data, unless the efforts prove   disproportionate, and we are unable to verify the identity of everyone concerned.
