Bereavement and grief can feel especially poignant during the festive season, when the contrast between personal loss and public celebration may be stark. Our Light Up A Life rememberance event offers a space to honour and celebrate the lives of loved ones who are no longer with us.

Through music, readings, and reflection, Light Up A Life offers a comforting space to come together and remember. The event is free to attend and open to all, with opportunities to dedicate a ribbon or star on our remembrance tree.

Dedicate a donation to those who lit up your life and help us continue our compassionate care, not only for our patients but their loved ones too. Every day, another person like you experiences the pain of grief and we offer counselling and other services to support them.

Your kindness will support local people who need us most during the darkest time of year, and your heart reaches out to them with compassion - because you’ve been there too.

Will you give strength to the Hospice team as they comfort others in their grief this winter?

£13 could give a nutritious meal to someone staying in the Hospice - tempting them to eat and helping them feel a little stronger

£40 could provide a day’s tempting meals for someone who is staying in the Hospice and who hasn’t felt like eating for a while.

£133 could cover the laundry costs in the Hospice Inpatient Unit for one week - because a fresh, clean bed makes everyone feel a little better.

£246 could cover the cost of an Inpatient Unit nurse's shift, providing 12 hours of compassionate care and giving comfort and reassurance to patients and families.
