Woodlands Hospice first ever Lantern Walk is taking place on Saturday 5th October 2024. It’s a chance to get together with family and friends to celebrate a loved one whilst helping raise vital funds for Woodlands Hospice.

You will recieve a lantern free for the walk which you can take home with you and the option to buy additional lights to dedicate to your loved one will be available on the night. There will also be a market area at the end of the walk with food and drink stalls along with some fantastic family friendly entertainment!

Croxteth Hall And Country Park

Registration is open from 16:00pm

The walk will begin at 18:00pm

What to expect

The walk will be set at a family and dog friendly pace, there will be a lead and rear marshal guiding the way as well as many other friendly faces in place to encourage you along the way.

The walk starts and finishes back at Croxteth Hall, where you will be able to enjoy some entertainment, market stalls, food and drink. With the option to purchase a light to dedicate to a loved one at the end of the walk. 

What to wear!

The walk is taking place through the park so ensure you are in appropriate footwear as there is uneven terrain throughout the walk. Please ensure you are wrapped up warm and prepared for all weather conditions due to this being an outdoor event. 

Sponsorship

Fundraising is essential to keep Woodlands Hospice services running. As an independent charity we need to raise £4,000 per day to be able to continue to provide our services free of charge to those who need us at their most vulnerable. This is a sponsored walk, you will be sent a link to your unique online fundraising page, which will allow you to share your reasons for part taking in the walk for woodlands and share your incredible efforts with family, friends and across all social media platforms to gain donations to you perosnalised page.
