Join us and help to pack HOPE Boxes on the 24th of June, from 11am-5pm, to help support mothers and babies facing potential separation close to birth due to safeguarding concerns. The packing event will be held on Lancaster University Campus, in the Great Hall!

The Giving HOPE (Hold On, Pain Eases) Project, currently active in over 60 organisations nationwide, is a non-profit organisation that aims to reduce the trauma experienced by mothers and their babies during court proceedings regarding potential separation close to birth through the HOPE Boxes offer. Produced with group of women with lived experience of separation close to birth (self-named the HOPE Mothers), as well as findings from research, the HOPE boxes come as a pair, one for mother, and one for baby. Each item within the box has been carefully chosen to support their ongoing connection, preserving key firsts and helping with grief and loss, as well as supporting life-story work should separation become permenant. The HOPE Boxes bridge the gap not only between mother and baby, but to a wider community of mothers with similar experiences of pain and loss.

Your support is invaluable to us, as it helps us get the HOPE Boxes to mothers and babies across the country. Any time you can offer is greatly appreciated, and we hope to see you there!
