This ticket page is for the Himalayan Retreat with Hanuman Dass & Friends, an 8-day / 7-night devotional pilgrimage and satsang retreat based in the Kumaon Himalayas, with the retreat base in Guniyalekh, near Kainchi Dham.

The retreat takes place entirely from one Himalayan base location and is designed as a grounded, immersive retreat, not a tour or holiday. Participants live together, practice together, and journey out for specific pilgrimages during the week.

Nature of the Retreat

This retreat is rooted in Bhakti (devotion), Sadhana (spiritual practice), and Seva (selfless service). Days follow a steady rhythm that allows participants to settle into the environment, the practices, and the group.

The retreat includes:

  • Daily satsang and reflection with Hanuman Dass

  • Regular chanting and Hanuman Chalisa in the evenings

  • Pilgrimage to Kainchi Dham, with time at the ashram and evening aarti

  • Visit to Kakrighat, where Swami Vivekananda meditated

  • Time at Sombhari Baba’s Cave and nearby forest temples

  • Seva with a local village school supported by Go Dharmic

  • Simple living, shared meals, and time in nature

The focus is on sincerity, continuity, and community rather than packed schedules.

Location & Base

The retreat is based in Guniyalekh, a quiet Himalayan village surrounded by forest paths, temples, and pilgrimage routes. Participants remain based here for the full duration of the retreat and travel out together for pilgrimages and seva activities.

Accommodation is provided either at:

  • Oak Climbing Resort

  • Go Dharmic Peace Centre (more exclusive, limited availability)

Community Aspect

Last year, around 40 participants from more than 10 countries joined the Himalayan retreat. Over the course of the week, the group naturally formed a close satsang community — practicing, eating, travelling, and serving together. This year follows the same structure and spirit.
