Our Colour Run is a fun, vibrant run through Harewood Forest in Wherwell, taking place on Saturday 1 August 2026. The run is open to all abilities and all ages*, it will take around an hour to complete - ideal for friends, families and colleagues!

Together, dressed in our charity branded t-shirts, we’ll move along the route, receiving splashes of colour from brightly coloured paint balls, thrown by onlookers, our sponsors and from one another!

The event will bring together the brilliant Andover community in support of our hospitals, which continue to provide outstanding care to all patients across our region.

If running isn’t for you then why not take a leisurely walk with your family after the runners have set off? You’ll follow the same route, and have the same chance to enjoy all of the colour fun in this beautiful and picturesque location!

The route

The route is circular and will take you from Wherwell Pavilion, through the Wherwell Estate, around the forest and back down to the Pavilion (approx 5km). On the route we’ll pass our sponsors who will all have powdered paint, so be sure to get your t-shirt covered in each colour as you pass the six stations.

At the finish line, hot food will be available for you to purchase from a local food truck who will be ready and waiting for you at the end!

A good pair of trainers or walking boots are advised, as the route is a mixture of pavement and track.

At various points throughout the walk, there will be marshals and volunteers with water and support if you need it.

The cause
Hampshire Hospitals Charity has a vision for a happier, healthier Hampshire, and we play a key role in enhancing the wellbeing of, and support for, NHS staff, patients and volunteers at Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital and Royal County Hospital Winchester.

We work with the hospital trust to make sure:

  • Patients continue to receive outstanding care and support that they and their families need
  • Hospitals are a comfortable and welcoming place for everyone who needs to use them, including loved ones, staff and patients.
  • Staff are supported and enjoy their working environment by providing the little extras that make someone’s day.

By taking part in our Colour Run, you're directly helping to ensure that our incredible staff can continue to provide outstanding care for patients for years to come.

Please note: For the safety of all of our participants, tickets are non-transferable and should not be re-sold. This is to ensure our team know exactly who is taking part to protect everyone’s safety and that the record we hold of expected attendees remains accurate for this purpose.

All funds raised from ticket sales support the important service we provide to patients and families across our hospitals, we thank you for supporting us.
